Let The Games Begin!

The bags are packed...
The skates laced up...
The skis waxed...
 The sticks taped...
The sleds are polished...
And the blades are sharpened...
(okay, I admit, a triple axel might be a bit difficult with this baby, especially as I only have one...)

I am hoping for some gold.
Some silver.
And some bronze.
Go World!

  6. We love watching the games! I cannot wait, when I see our winners on their podiums, and hear our national anthem I get all teary eyed. Then they tell the personal stories of things these people overcame to be the level they are and well the water works start! My kids always look to me to see if I've lost it and then... 'mom, are you really crying AGAIN?' I just can't help it. Oh, I should make some special olympic treat for us! Something that can get a little soggy and still taste good... love the post, thanks, Theresa

  15. Hi Kate,
What a cute post! I love your gold, silver and bronze. I think any gold, silver or bronze I want to see is from Tiffany ...HaHa :) JK
I am so saddened by the loss of that poor young man from the Republic of Georgia who lost his life on the practice run on the luge. It breaks my heart every time I think of it and very disturbing replaying that image in my head of it happening. Anyone out there reading this, please say a little prayer for him and his family. That is way too tragic and too soon to leave this earth that way. The ONLY consolation is that he was doing something he loved. RIP to a passionate, Olympic athlete gone way too soon.

On a lighter note, I hope you are enjoying your Valentines day with the fam. Any more redecorating with the snowboard??? I have to admire her passion. Tell her I said, YOU GO GIRL! I would have and probably did do the same as she at her age...just not with a snowboard. Did I ever tell you about the bill my parents got to repaint my dorm room? Yeah, I painted it...I couldn't resist. It cost my parents to have it painted back to boring white :0 Be thankful, didn't cost you anything!!!!He He
    Have a great Valentine's day!
