A Hunting Trip

Tonight, this boy is going hunting...
All by himself.

For what you ask?

Well let me show you...
(But first I will turn off the night vision goggles...)

Here's his hunting outfit.

Green shirt, suspenders, lucky socks and one very green hat.

And his hunting equipment?
One butterfly net, some night vision goggles, and some very minty Hershey's Kisses for a snack.

And just what is he searching for?

A pot of gold, of course!

Or some leprechaun memorabilia perhaps.  Maybe some gold coins?

By the way, in case he were to fall asleep on this hunting trip, we have a back-up plan.

One leprechaun trap!

  1. You are going to have to be VERY quiet tonight tipping over your chairs & sprinkeling your glitter while your little hunter sleeps in the living room & trying to catch that leprachaun that messes up your house every year!!!

  2. You forgot to mention turning the toilet water green!

  3. Enjoy Enjoy... all that green.... it's such a calm color. Too bad we do not celebrate St. Patrick's day over here. Do have a great day, sweet Kate! xo

  4. To cute!! Have a blessed day!

  5. That is too stinkin cute! Will you take pics of him in his hunting clothes so we can see The Great GREEN Hunter? I've never sprinkled glitter as Libby said or turned the toilet water green as you suggest... maybe I need to give my kids a giggle tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration! :) Theresa

  6. So funny! My older daughter, whose name is Erin, and her husband, love St. Patrick's day. They have been to Ireland several times and kissed the Blarney stone, and my son-in-law, crazy boy, is leprechaun phobic. He won't even say the word. I think he heard too many stories as a kid. It's so fun to have these little memories with our kids, Your son looks to be totally ready for a big catch. Be sure and share some of the "pot" when he finds it!!

  7. Right That's it River and I are coming to live at your house. You guy's always have so much fun lol.

Oh and by the way I have just been over to libbie's blog and WOW how cool is that. I had no idea
    "GO CAKE'S GO" lol

  8. How fun!!! We're going to watch Darby O'Gill tonight & join my Irish/Scottish sister tomorrow for Corned Beef & Cabbage. Sláinte is táinte to you & your family!

Hope your guy catches his leprechaun!

  9. How fun! Wish I could hunt with him. :)

  10. And just to be on the safe side, I'm wearing a green sweater today.

    Happy St. Paddy's Eve!

Oh, and definately start a vintage shoe collection...you're already off to a great start.

    Sweet dreams.

  11. Love that little hunt your son is going on, too cute! Yep!!purple goes with my red hat YIKE'S!!!had a great lunch "peacan crusted chicken over a bed of greens and dryed cranberries with rasberry dressing", it was so yummy. Your very welcome for the free images, there's more to come. Have a wonderful evening, Carol Mae

  12. I had to come back. Just read Libby's post about you.

    I had no idea!

    You are amazing!

    Sweet dreams.

  13. love it! I'll never forget when my oldest was 6, and we left a trail of gold coins heading toward the window from her bed. She JUMPED out of that bed & sped to the window like she was for sure going to catch that darn leprechaun this time! It was priceless!!

We have a real pesky leprechaun that turns our toilet water green, milk green, and throws every green thing that we own into the middle of the kitchen floor!

    p.s. I know, I know....get planting....!!!

  14. Kate, how fun is that!!!

i just ran over and read Libbie's post too...wow!!! i had no idea i had been visiting someone famous...a professional football player no less...that is SO cool:)

  15. Kate ~ You seriously make me want to be a better mom/Nona. I mean it. You are amazing!

  16. Ha ha, I hope he is lucky and catches something!!! What fun!
