This week has been crazy busy, I didn't get the faves I really wanted. You will have to settle for my favorite
Girls~
Meet my ladies...
While attempting this little photo shoot, I realized one thing. It is difficult to get good pictures of your girls at breakfast time...
I tended to get the wrong end!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Kate, they are darling, I've always thought it would be fun to have chickens, and quite the "farmchic" thing to do. (no pun intended!) I'm sure the fresh eggs are amazing!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Debra
I'm so glad I have met this charming ladies!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend! Warm regards, Ingrid
I know I'm amongst your favorite girls- but glad you didn't put a pic of me 'eating my breakfast' up here. ;)
ReplyDeleteAw, they're so pretty!!! I want chickens!
ReplyDeleteYour girls are pretty, right end or wrong end ... How great must it be to have fresh picked eggs everyday!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend with your girls and the rest of your family of course. xo
Lovely chickens! But you know my favorite part of the pics? You have more snow than we do -- nah, nah, nah-nah, nah! And I'm 175 miles north of you... ;0)
ReplyDeleteOMG I am moving in! We raised two peeps into a little hen and enormous rooster in our backyard when we first got married. I have always wanted to live somewhere with enough room for chickens and sheep (or at least have a neighbor with them). Love all your pretty girls. Do they make pretty eggs, too?
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Adorable! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely your girls are! Got a good giggle out of your Karen girl! tee hee!!
ReplyDeleteIts okay if you name one after me...I often get my feathers ruffled OR I'm ruffling someone else’s...I'm sure I'd fit in just fine! LOL
Your photos are really amazing Kate! Have a fabulous weekend Sweet Friend!
Hugs,
Karyn
Oh, I love your girls! I grew up around chickens and so wish I could have them. I would bet the big new bank across the street wouldn't like it very much though!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Love the girls-dream of having a place and some of my own. I think you did a wonderful job with the pictures! Deer are the same way though-I have to work real hard to get a photo of a deer with their front showing and not their back ends!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
Robin~♥
I like the lady with the red hat and brown fur coat. She looks just like me in the dreads of winter...
ReplyDeleteYour girls are so cute. Great pics of both ends. :P
ReplyDeleteLove the girls! :) I grew up on a farm and we raised chickens every summer. We kept a few for egg layers but most were butchered, plucked (by yours truly) and eaten. I'm such a backwards farm girl that my younger brother and I thought it great entertainment on butchering day to watch the chickens flop around after they got their heads cut off. (Gross but true.)
ReplyDeleteI did not realize just how uncivilized my behavior was until I had a couple friends from town over. I excitedly told them that we were butchering chickens that day and they could watch. They were completely disgusted and grossed out! We still laugh about that today.
I so want some ladies just like that..I have always wanted chickens. xoxox
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely ladies indeed! I think you should let them breakfast over here in WA. They could take care of my spider trouble in just a few days! Hope you thaw out soon ~ oxox
ReplyDeleteOh I think Karen is my fave! What perfect name :)
ReplyDeleteYour girls are quite gorgeous! I think you have managed to take some great shots of them....all parts of them! You must love all those fresh eggs!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week Kate.
Best wishes always,
Natasha.
I think they were into breakfast big time! I would love to have a place to have Acundra chickens. You know the ones that lay Easter Egg colored eggs... Thanks for sharing. Charlene

My husbands parents are trying to talk me into having chickens, just not sure. I'm not really an animal person. I like to look but not touch. I've always been that way, my family think I'm weird. Thanks heaps for coming to our blog, I love to see your comments. Natasha's trying to get me to be more artsy taking photos. Check out tomorrow's that about as artsy as I get. Great photos on Libbie's blog.
ReplyDeleteawwww Thanks kate I am honoured she's such a lovely hen.
ReplyDeleteAre you getting lot's of egg's now? My girls seem to be working overtime and giving us one each every day. We can't give them away quick enough. I guess I'll just have to go do some more baking lol.
