Friday Faves

This week has been crazy busy, I didn't get the faves I really wanted.   You will have to settle for my favorite
Girls~
Meet my ladies...

While attempting this little photo shoot, I realized one thing.  It is difficult to get good pictures of your girls at breakfast time...

I tended to get the wrong end!

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Kate, they are darling, I've always thought it would be fun to have chickens, and quite the "farmchic" thing to do. (no pun intended!) I'm sure the fresh eggs are amazing!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Lovely chickens! But you know my favorite part of the pics? You have more snow than we do -- nah, nah, nah-nah, nah! And I'm 175 miles north of you... ;0)

  7. OMG I am moving in! We raised two peeps into a little hen and enormous rooster in our backyard when we first got married. I have always wanted to live somewhere with enough room for chickens and sheep (or at least have a neighbor with them). Love all your pretty girls. Do they make pretty eggs, too?

  10. Oh, I love your girls! I grew up around chickens and so wish I could have them. I would bet the big new bank across the street wouldn't like it very much though!

  11. Love the girls-dream of having a place and some of my own. I think you did a wonderful job with the pictures! Deer are the same way though-I have to work real hard to get a photo of a deer with their front showing and not their back ends!!!

    Have a great weekend,

    Robin~♥

  14. Love the girls! :) I grew up on a farm and we raised chickens every summer. We kept a few for egg layers but most were butchered, plucked (by yours truly) and eaten. I'm such a backwards farm girl that my younger brother and I thought it great entertainment on butchering day to watch the chickens flop around after they got their heads cut off. (Gross but true.)

I did not realize just how uncivilized my behavior was until I had a couple friends from town over. I excitedly told them that we were butchering chickens that day and they could watch. They were completely disgusted and grossed out! We still laugh about that today.

  24. My husbands parents are trying to talk me into having chickens, just not sure. I'm not really an animal person. I like to look but not touch. I've always been that way, my family think I'm weird. Thanks heaps for coming to our blog, I love to see your comments. Natasha's trying to get me to be more artsy taking photos. Check out tomorrow's that about as artsy as I get. Great photos on Libbie's blog.

  25. awwww Thanks kate I am honoured she's such a lovely hen.
Are you getting lot's of egg's now? My girls seem to be working overtime and giving us one each every day. We can't give them away quick enough. I guess I'll just have to go do some more baking lol.
